CORA Services BOASTS OLYMPIC HOPEFUL

Erica Waller Hill...
Destined For A Dream

ERICA1For the most part of every day, Erica Waller-Hill is the Site Director at CORA Services's Thurgood Marshall Beacon Center. But she is a woman of many talents and versatility. Track and field has always been her sport of choice. She began track and field in the seventh grade, starting with shot put. In 1991, while still in the 7th grade, Erica broke the middle school record for the shot put, a mark that stands today. She continued to compete in high school on all levels and became district champ in 1994 and 1995. She also ranks in the top five in the discus and shot put in the state of Pennsylvania.

Her dedication to her sport certainly carries over to her work with the kids and families at the Beacon. Parents know that the direction they receive from Erica will point them in the right direction and she always inspires her staff to "put" forth their best effort.

Today, she continues to follow her dreams to become the first USA woman to win an Olympic medal in shot put and discus.

The CORA Services family will be watching her this summer in Beijing, China.
